Husky Safe Zone Training

We offer the Husky Safe Zone Training to achieve our goals of education and resources to those who support diverse sexual orientations and gender identities/expressions. This is in compliance with the State of Connecticut Human Rights Commission and the University of Connecticut Academic plan.

Husky Safe Zone Training (2.5 hours)

The 2.5-hour training session offers a highly interactive learning experience about how to create a safe space for UConn’s diverse community of gender identities, gender expressions, and sexualities. This could include, but is not limited to lesbian, bisexual, gay, asexual, aromantic, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, pansexual, two-spirit people.

Monday, February 13 @ 9:00am – 11:30am (postponed to Feb 20 due to weather)
Monday, February 20 @ 9:30am – 12 noon
Friday, March 24 @ 9:00am – 11:30am
Thursday, May 11 @ 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Training will be facilitated in the Rainbow Center, 403 Student Union
