HIV/AIDS Anonymous Rapid Testing
The Rainbow Center and the Health Education Office
are UConn/Storrs campus spots to get a FREE
and anonymous Rapid HIV/AIDS
test which allows for results to be known within the half-hour!
The test is free of charge, thanks to the generous support of the
Hartford Gay
& Lesbian Health Collective (for the tests at the
Rainbow Center) and Planned
Parenthood of Connecticut
(for the tests at the Health Education Office. The testing is
open to all, however there are only an extremely limited number of
available slots! No appointments will
be taken due to the need for anonymity. Arrive early because first
come, first served. Testing will take place at the Rainbow
Center, except
where noted below.
The Rainbow Center's schedule for the Fall 2009
semester is:
- Wednesday, September 2nd from 6pm to 11pm
- Wednesday, October 7th from 6pm to 9pm
- Wednesday, November 4th from 6pm to 9pm
- Wednesday, December 2nd from 6pm to 9pm
This test is free of charge and open to all,
however there are approximately 9 spots
available per day of testing! No
appointments will be taken due to the need
for anonymity. Arrive early because testing
is first come, first served. Numbers will be
given out to individuals and people need to
wait in the office. If a person leaves the
office and their number is called, we can
substitute another person at our
discretion.
The Rainbow Center is located in Room 403 on
the fourth floor of the Student
Union.
The Health
Education Office's schedule for the Fall 2009
semester is:
- Wednesday, September 16th from 3pm to 5pm
- Tuesday, October 6th from 2pm to 4pm
- Wednesday, November 11th from 3pm to 5pm
- Wednesday, December 2nd from 3pm to 5pm
This test is free of charge and open to all,
