Fleurette King

As the new director, Fleurette King manages the center's operation and staff to fulfill the mission of the Rainbow Center. King's involvement in social justice education and valuing diversity efforts, inclusive of sexual orientation and gender identity and expression, expands over a 14-year career in higher education.
King obtained a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Ethnic Studies from Bowling Green State University and a M.A. in Sociology from DePaul University. King's participation in regional and national networks reflects a deep passion and commitment to social justice.
Within the last couple of years, King and spouse participated in a commitment ceremony and celebration, and recently became legally united through a Civil Union. Fleurette looks forward to working with familiar and new faces of the Rainbow Center.

William Hickman
Administrative Support Staff

Bill has been at the Rainbow Center since its inception in 1998, arriving by way of the Stonewall Center at the University of Massachusetts. Previously, he served in the Air Force Reserves during the Gulf War.
Bill is an alumnus of the University of Connecticut, graduating with a Degree in General Studies with an individualized concentration in Multiculturalism, and a Minor in Latino Studies.
Including studies in Ireland, Costa Rica and Cuba, Bill enjoys traveling the world, especially frequent jaunts to Puerto Rico to visit his in-laws.
After a twelve-year engagement, Bill and his husband Ricky married in their home state of Massachusetts, where they currently live with their three dogs, Gizmo, Cleo and Princy. |

Jesse Lynn Kohut '08

Jesse Lynn Kohut was born on December 30th, 1985 and hails from Bridgeport Connecticut though she considers Willimantic her home.
She is earning duel degrees History and Education with aspirations to teach, and to become a paramedic. Her favorite color is green, she loves tattoos, painting, and watching the History Channel though she is not fond of "Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain".
